1 CHRONICLES MOMENT – (10MAY19) The Spirit of the Lord came
upon David so that he was able to draw the plans for the construction of the
temple. Every single detail was given to him from the Lord, so that he could
pass it on to Solomon. God did the same thing for him as He had done with Noah
in building the ark and Moses with the construction of the Tabernacle. God gave
David every detail needed for how the temple was to be built, what it was to be
constructed of, the articles that were to be made to go inside it as well as
the curtains that would hang. He also gave him the manner in which the
divisions for the priests and Levites were to take place. Solomon had what he
needed to do as the Lord wanted concerning His house.
Whenever the Lord wants
us to do something for Him, He will place on the inside of us what we need to
accomplish His task and/or He will allow us to get the skills we need in an
institution of higher learning. God is to get the glory regardless of which way
He does it, but we are to do everything to the best of our ability and allow
Him to lead, guide and direct us on the path that we are to travel. Heaven is
always hiring and there is plenty of work to do for the kingdom. All God wants
is a willing heart and He will do the rest. Something to ponder…
QUESTION OF
THE DAY – (10MAY19) When the Lord appeared to Solomon, He allowed him to ask
Him for whatever it was that he desired. Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge
to lead His people, and God granted his request as well as gave him wealth and
honor. Do you recognize when the Lord gives you wisdom concerning matters? Do
you pray for wisdom when you have none? For those who are not married, are you
praying for GOD to be the One to send you a spouse? For those who are looking
for a new job, are you praying for God to be the One to position you? If you
are looking to relocate, are you praying for God to be the One to order your
steps? What is it that you need for God to give you wisdom for in your life? The
Spirit of the Lord gives wisdom to all who ask. It is just a prayer away. We
are to always consult God concerning all areas of our lives rather small or
great. Something to ponder…
1 CHRONICLES
MOMENT – (10MAY19) David told his son Solomon to be strong and courageous. Why
was this? Israel needed to know that they could be secure in their leader. They
had asked Samuel to anoint them a king, and God gave them what they wanted
despite being rejected by them. Therefore, Solomon was to soon have the nation
upon his shoulders, but David wanted him to know that as long as he obeyed God,
that he could be strong and courageous in Him.
We are to
never try to go at things alone in this life. God is always there if we wait on
Him and seek His face. He will give us the strength to endure whatever we may
face. He gives us courage to take on the giants of life and the wisdom to choose
our battles. God may have appointed you to take on a task that you feel
unworthy or unsuited to do. Nevertheless, it is not in your own ability to
accomplish your God-given task, but it is for you to rely totally on God. He
will never leave you nor forsake you. That is His promise to all who honor and
serve Him. Something to ponder…
