SATURDAY PRAYER – (04MAY19) Our most Dear and Gracious Father,
we come to you this day in awe of the many things that you have done for us
throughout the week. We thank you for giving us breath in our bodies, the
mobility of our limbs, the soundness of our minds and the ability to speak and
sing praises to and of you once again. We know that you are the One who holds
the stars in the sky, keeps the planets in place, allows the sun to light the
day, and the moon to shine at night. You are the Creator of all things and you
created us in the image of you. As the psalmist said, “We are fearfully and
wonderfully made.” We know this full well. Lord, we ask that if there is
anything that we have done against you and/or against others – willfully and unwilfully,
knowingly and unknowingly, that you will forgive us and cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. We pray that we become more like you every day and that we
embody who you want us to be and represent you well to a world that is growing
increasingly dark.
Lord, we humbly come before you to ask you to meet the needs
of your people – those that have been expressed and those that are unknown to
us but are held secretly in their hearts. We know that we have a Mighty Father
who knows what we need before we ask, but when we do, we do so out of the deepest
humility of heart. We pray that you would be with those who are being
persecuted for their faith in you. We pray that you would lead, guide, protect,
shelter, and provide for them. We pray for their families who may not be saved,
so that they will turn their hearts to you before it is too late. We pray for
those who are sick, in nursing homes, on their sick beds, in hospice, and those
who are their caregivers. We pray that you will heal and comfort as well as
replenish those who are taking care of those who cannot do for themselves.
Please reenergize them so that they will be able to have the strength to carry
out the duties that they are giving to those who are in their care. We once again
pray for those who are sick with cancer, diabetes, hypertension, mental
illness, and other diseases. We pray that you will place a healing Balm on them
and that they will be restored to health. We pray that they will have a mighty
testimony of how you raised them back up from their affliction, so that others
may see your glory. We pray for those who are in remission and that their
illness will not lift its ugly head to return no matter what the enemy desires.
Lord, we pray for those who may not have made the best
choices in life, but we know that you are of God of second, third, fourth,
fifth, and innumerable chances. We have all sinned and have fallen short of your
glory, but we know that every day, you give us new grace and mercies. We pray
that those who would not otherwise have favor with the legal system, that they
will find favor with you. We ask that you be their Presiding Judge, Jury, and
Defense Counsel. We know that Satan is the accuser of the brethren, but Jesus,
You died that we may have life and that you are even now, representing us
before the Father as the devil points fingers at the wrong we have done. We
have indeed been guilty of sin, but your blood covers a multitude of them. We
ask for leniency for those who need it and that they will know that you get all
the praise, honor, and glory for not receiving the sentence that could have been
handed down. We pray that they will come to the knowledge of knowing who you
are and that you can changed their lives.
We pray that this nation will come to the knowledge that
prayer without repentance is only mere words. WE have sinned as a nation and
what we are seeing in the division that is taking place, the lack of respect from
other nations, the hostility against others, the tightening of our former liberties,
crisis at the borders, strange weather patterns, outbreak of diseases,
contamination of food – just to name a few, are the results of a nation who has
turned its back to You. We know that we cannot claim to know You and STILL
dishonor you by killing your innocent children even if there isn’t a heartbeat,
making a mockery of that which you ordained in marriage, and so much more. We
ask for your forgiveness and mercy upon this nation. There is so much more that
we could include in this prayer, but we pray that you will hear from Heaven and
receive the incense of this prayer. We ask all these things in your Son’s Mighty
Name that is above all names, Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach. Amen.
