DEUTERONOMY MOMENT – (09MAR19) God told Moses that the Children of Israel were going to turn away from the covenant that He established with them and that they would face calamity and destruction because of it. Yet, God promised to restore to them all that they had lost when they would return back to Him. They had the power to choose either life of death. Life and prosperity would be given to them if they followed the Lord’s laws and decrees, but death would result when they turned to foreign gods and idols. God always fulfills His promises in our lives, but we are the ones who fail to keep covenant with God and the results are often disastrous. Yet, God had a plan before any of us were born and that was to send Jesus to die for our sins. He is still giving all the freedom to choose – life or death. Which one will you choose? Something to ponder…

QUESTION OF THE DAY – (09MAR19) The Lord told the Israelites to make sure that their children, who did not know the law, be sure to hear the law as it was read, so that they would how to fear the Lord. If you have children and/or grandchildren, do you read to them the Word of God? Do you ensure that they know the ways of the Lord? Do you tell them that the world’s ways are contrary to God’s ways? Have you let them know what sin is and that we are under the grace of God? Do they see Christ represented in you? If you do not teach them about God, the devil has a school of learning that will surely lead them to a fiery end. Something to ponder…
