DEUTERONOMY MOMENT – (08MAR19) The Lord promised to make the
Children of Israel the head and not the tail. They would be the lenders and not
the borrowers if they obeyed the laws of God and remained faithful to the
covenant that He made with them. America was once the head of all the other
nations in the world, but now, we are despised by most of them. We were once
the lenders and now we are the borrowers. We were blessed in ways that other
nations could only begin to dream of. We have been a nation flowing with
abundance and even though many of us may not have always had what we wanted and when we wanted it, we could and still can
count ourselves as being blessed in comparison to many third world countries,
who do not have running water, sewage systems, adequate housing, and an abundance
of food, etc. Even some of our poorest in society live better than those in
third world countries and yet, we have taken so much for granted. The God who
blessed us is now being kicked out of our government, schools, businesses,
homes, and even many churches. We have offered sacrifices of children to Molech
instead of protecting them. We have worshiped the golden calf on Wall Street instead
of placing our faith in our Provider. We have placed our faith in politicians
and their words instead of God and His WORD. We have idolized celebrities in Hollywood
by calling them “stars” on their Walk of Fame. We consider sport icons as being
heroes just because they can swing a bat, bounce a ball, and make a touchdown, but
do not give the same respect to teachers, police, fire fighters, first responders,
military personnel and others who truly make sacrifices and/or put their lives
at risk for our nation. We call rapping about the thug life -- music, reality
drama -- entertainment, showing skin on magazines -- sexy, sex on screen -- free
speech, gay affections -- love,
abortions on demand -- choice, same-sex couples taking vows -- marriage, pastors
taking from the poor to live in mansions -- tithe, destroying other nations –
liberty, and being politically correct -- truth. Then we think that when we say, “God bless
America,” then He will honor it. What such fools have we become as a nation?
Just as God told Israel…America’s disobedience will bring about its desolation.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…time is running out. Something to ponder…
QUESTION OF THE DAY – (08MAR19) Will building walls save our nation? “They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the
high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the
cities throughout the land the Lord your God is giving you” (Deuteronomy 28:52).
The answer to the previous question is NO. We are arguing about walls, but we
fail to realize that regardless of what walls are built, our foundation and
fortitude was to always be God. Is there anything wrong with walls? No, there
is nothing wrong with having walls. Nevertheless, what good are walls when our
nation continues to defy God? Our walls are useless! The very walls that we
build will be our prisons when we are defeated as a nation because of our
defiance against God. Something to ponder…
DEUTERONOMY
MOMENT – (08MAR19) The Lord told Israel to not think that anyone could worship
an idol in secret and think that there would be no repercussions because no one
would know. The person would bring a curse upon their land and the Lord knows
the secret and hidden things of man. We can never think that there is anything
that we do will not be seen by God. Nothing goes unnoticed by Him. Whatever secret
sins a person may have, God knows them all so it is best to repent of them. He
loves everyone of His children, but sin will never be allowed to enter into
Heaven. Something to ponder…
