JUDGES MOMENT – (23MAR19) Manoah’s wife was barren. During those
days, women were seen to be of status if they were married and had children.
For a woman to not have children during biblical times was probably quite
difficult on her. One can probably imagine the gossip, looks, ridicule, and loneliness
that was brought about due to not having any children. But one day, Manoah’s
wife received exciting news from an angel that she and her husband would have a
special child that would be dedicated to the Lord and he would deliver the Israelites
out of the hands of the Philistines. There were certain instructions that she
had to follow, and the angel came back so that her husband could hear the
instructions of how to raise their child as well. Many of us either have or are
currently living in a season of BARRENESS. You may have waited years to birth
something that you have prayed for, been promised to receive, or have desired
to accomplish and yet, nothing has taken place. You may have cried out to God as
to when He was going to fulfill your deepest heart desires only to have the
days, months, weeks and years pass by with no hope in sight. But one day, just
as with Manoah’s wife, an angel will show up. You will get the confirmation to
know that what you have been waiting to birth is on the way. Your wait will be
over. Your season of being barren will have come to an end. You will finally
have the joy that you will have waited for, for so long. You will finally receive
the promise if you just hold on a little longer and allow God to fulfill all
that He has promised in your life. Something to ponder…
QUESTION OF THE DAY – (23MAR19) Samson saw a Philistine
woman that he wanted to marry, so he told his parents about her. His parents
did not understand why he could not marry an Israelite woman, but he insisted
on having the Philistine. What they did not know was that this was God ordained
because God was using this as an opportunity to confront the Philistines.
Sometimes people may not understand the direction that God is leading you in,
and may try to discourage you from the path that He has ordained for you. God’s
ways do not always make sense, so whereas a path you take may seem crazy to
someone looking in the natural, it makes total sense to God. Has this ever
taken place in your life? Has God ever led you to make a certain move that did
not line up with others’ ideology? Have you had to step out on faith to do what
seemed crazy at the moment? One thing that you can be sure of, a God’s move is
never a crazy move, and whatever He has you to do, it is for His edification in
the end. Something to ponder…
