DEUTERONOMY MOMENT – (05MAR19) Moses gave the Children of
Israel instructions for the time when they would desire to have a king over
them. This was a prophetic word because much later, the Children of Israel
would want a king over them during the priesthood of Samuel the Prophet. The
Lord had instructed that the king was to be from amongst their own people. He
was not to get horses from Egypt because they were to never return to Egypt for
anything. He was not to have many wives or his heart would be turned away from
the Lord. He was not to acquire a lot of gold and silver. When he became king,
he was to write a copy of this law taken from the Levites and read it often so
that he would be careful to obey God’s laws. This, however, did not happen in
the days of King Solomon which we will see further on in later books. We see
that God gives warnings to His people before things ever happen. God tries to
help us be obedient to Him in His warnings, but too often, we fail to heed the
warnings and go our own way. Therefore, when we fall into the enemy’s traps, we
cannot say that God did not try to prevent us from falling in. We should take
heed to the Lord’s warnings wherever they may come from because He always sends
them before destruction hits. If God brings your attention to something, do not
take it lightly, for it may just save your life. Something to ponder…
QUESTION OF THE DAY – (05MAR19) The Lord had a system that
anyone who was accused of committing a crime was to be brought before priests
and judges in His presence so that truth could be established. If a person was
found guilty of giving a false testimony against an innocent person, they were
to receive the punishment that would have been given to the other party had
they succeeded with their malicious intent. Wouldn’t that be good if that same
principle were to be followed today? Would people be so quick to accuse others
falsely if they were to receive the punishment that they tried to have done to
someone else? Many people have been falsely accused of rape, murder, child paternity,
sexual harassment, and other crimes, only to find out that one or two of the
witnesses had lied about the entire event. We should never accuse anyone of a
wrong unless we can support it with evidence. We, as Christians, should never
take sides, unlike the mainstream media, until we have weighed out all the
evidence that has been presented. What if you were the one being accused? How
would you want people to proceed? Something to ponder…
DEUTERONOMY MOMENT – (05MAR19) God told the Israelites that
they were never to live among those who practiced any type of sorcery, witchcraft,
or spoke to the dead. They were detestable before the Lord. Today, we have
people who claim to be “Christian” witches. They believe that the Bible is full
of spells and that they can use magic and the Bible at the same time. They claim
to follow the Solomonic tradition. The interesting thing is that God warned
against kings having many wives who would lead them astray and one of the things
we will study later is how King Solomon was led astray in this manner. If God
found it to be detestable then, would He still find it to be detestable now?
Would He still consider dealing with the occult wrong? Are any of you in the
Free Masons, Illuminati, Skull and Bones, Fraternities, Sororities, or some
other secret organization? Are you reading your horoscopes, getting palm
readings, paying for psychic readings, playing with Ouija Boards, or some other
demonic practice? If so, STOP! The devil uses these devices to take your soul
away from God. You cannot eat at the Lord’s table and the table of demons.
There is NO such thing as a Christian witch. WORD OF WARNING…do not allow just
anyone to lay hands on you. There is a such thing as a transference of spirits.
Just like God allowed Elijah to leave his mantle for Elisha, the devil acts as
a counterfeit and transfers his mantel onto others as well. Many pastors,
prophets, evangelists, apostles, and teachers are participating in things that
are of the devil such as pornography, adultery, fornication, pedophilia, greed,
lying, and cheating while people sometimes wonder, after going to church, why
they cannot be delivered from their strongholds. It could be that the pastor
has a stronghold himself. When they lay hands on you, they can transfer their
spirits on to you if you do not cover yourself with the blood of Jesus. Everyone
who has a title and can speak well is NOT of God. Remember everything that
shines is not gold and everything that sparkles is not a diamond. Something to
ponder…
