Read the Bible in a Year

DEUTERONOMY MOMENT – (10MAR19) Moses had a special relationship with God. Even though God did not allow for him to take the Children of Israel into the Promise Land because of his and Aaron’s disobedience, Moses was still near to God’s heart. He was the only prophet, according to the Bible, that was able to talk to God face-to-face. No other prophet had done such miracles as he had done during the time that they were in Egypt until they were rescued and lived in the wilderness. And at the end of Moses’ life, God did not have him to bring anyone with him so that they could bury him, but the Lord buried Moses himself. God has a special relationship with those who love Him. We may not talk to Him face-to-face as Moses did, but God enabled us to be able to come before the throne of grace boldly by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. We no longer need a priest to mediate for us and make atonement for our sins because Jesus is our Mediator and He made atonement on the cross for the sins of the world. Therefore, when we talk to Jesus, we are all able to have a special encounter with Him because He loves and cares for us. His love never ceases to be amazing despite how many times we mess up. He stands with open arms waiting for us so that He can show His love that is everlasting. Something to ponder…

QUESTION OF THE DAY – (10MAR19) The Children of Israel were given a prophetic song to tell them of how they would turn from God. They were warned of the destruction that was going to befall them when they did, but they were also given the promise of hope so that they returned to God, He would once again be gracious unto them. Haven’t we been given a warning for what is to come as well? Haven’t we been told that only those who persevere to the end will be saved? Hasn’t God done all that He could to save every single person? When probation finally does close, no one will be able to say that God was not fair. God has shown us so much grace and mercy, but time is running out. Are you ready? Something to ponder…
