2 KINGS
MOMENT – (24APR19) Jehu had been anointed as king. He was told to destroy the
entire house of Ahab due to the evil that had been done during his reign. Jehu
had Jezebel thrown out of a window and the dogs devoured her flesh. All that
they had sewn was paid back in full and the Lord got the vengeance that was
due. There is a day of reckoning coming to the earth as well. The devil and his
minions will pay for all the pain, heartache, grief, misery and death that they
have caused. Unfortunately, many souls will perish with them in hell because of
their defiance against God. They preferred their sin over Christ’s salvation
and will receive the eternal reward of burning flames. Jehu was called to eradicate
the evil from amongst him, and we as Christians cannot afford to sit by and allow
sin to reign freely. We must take a stand and help to usher as many souls to Christ
as we can because time is almost up. Something to ponder…
QUESTION OF
THE DAY – (24APR19) Jehu successfully destroyed Baal worship in Israel, but he
failed to follow the Lord with his whole heart as David had. He had done great
works and all that the Lord had told him to do in destroying the house of Ahab
and those who worshiped Baal, but he was not sold out for God. Are you holding
on to any Baals in your heart despite appearing to worship God? Have you let go
of those little secret sins that you think is not a big deal to God? Has He
convicted your heart regarding something, but you are having a hard time
letting go? We are to serve the Lord with all our heart, with all our soul, and
with all our mind. We cannot serve two masters. We will either love one or hate
the other, but we cannot commit to loving both. Something to ponder…
2 KINGS
MOMENT – (24APR19) Athaliah went on a mission to kill everyone in her family to
secure herself on the throne. Yet, God protected Joash by using his aunt,
nurse, and priest to hide and care for him until he was seven years old. At that
age, he was then anointed as king and Athaliah was killed. Sometimes God has to
protect us even from ourselves until we are spiritually mature enough to handle
the call on our lives. We may sometimes think that we are ready to operate in
the role God has for us, but He keeps us hidden until the time comes for us to
do the job. During that hidden time, He is teaching, molding, making,
reshaping, and equipping us with what we need to be a powerhouse for the
kingdom. There are many of God’s servants whom have been hidden in spiritual
caves until God is ready for them to be released in full magnitude across the
face of the earth. They will not bow to Baal, they will not submit to Asherah,
nor will they sacrifice to Molech. They will stand boldly in the face of their
accusers and will not cave in with opposition. They will be warriors for Christ.
Are you one of these people? If so, do not freight that you have not entered
into the big leagues yet, because with the unveiling comes the increase in
demonic attacks, but know that when God gets ready to release you, no demon in
hell will be able to stop you in Jesus’ name. Something to ponder...
