JOB MOMENT – (04JUN19) In Job’s anguish, he spoke some
truths concerning the judgments of God that America and the world would be wise
to take note of, for we are seeing these things happen in real time.
What He tears down cannot be rebuilt.
America is on her way to her ultimate destruction. Why is
this, because of her many sins and lack of repentance as a nation. When this
nation is finally destroyed, she will never be rebuilt or return to her former
glory. Bottom line, America will never be great again. (Revelation 18:2)
Those He imprisons cannot be released.
Satan will one day be thrown into the Abyss and imprisoned
there for a short time to keep him from being able to deceive the nations, and
then he will be released. (Revelation 20:3)
When He holds back the waters, there is a drought.
California for years has experienced major wildfires that
causes drought conditions. Sin has been the cause of this and more will come to
the U.S. as a result of the immorality that is taking place in our society. California
drought went from December 27, 2011 and officially ended on
March 5th, 2019 according to Drougt.gov. (Deuteronomy 11:17)
When He looses the waters, they devastate the land.
The mid-western United States has been experiencing
devastating floods that are even affecting crops and farm animals. Prices of
food are expected to increase significantly towards the later part of this year
due to farmers not being able to plant the amount of corn and other crops that
would have already been in the ground by now. (Isaiah 1:7)
He leads rulers away stripped and makes fools of judges.
The U.S. Justice department, FBI, and other alphabet gangs allegedly
are not just in its practices when it comes to political candidates according
to some news’ commentators such as Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. From fake dossiers
to subpoenaed evidence being deliberately destroyed, the fools are being made
to look wise and the wise are being made to look like fools. (Daniel 2:21)
He leads priests away stripped and overthrows established
officials.
We are seeing almost weekly pastors in scandal after
scandal. How are we to be the body of Christ and win souls if our leaders are in
just as many scandals as worldly leaders? Also, the attempted coup on President
Trump is not over, and it has only been God who has allowed for him to be in
office for now. Should he be removed by some means, it will only be when and/or
if God is ready for it to take place. (Psalm 75:7)
He silences trusted advisers and takes discernment away
from elders.
Many of the people that our president picked to lead have
not been trusted advisers. They ended up turning their backs on him and
stabbing his. His discernment for many of them was off because a wise man is
only wise when he truly seeks the counsel of the Lord. (Romans 1:22)
He makes nations great and destroys them.
The U.S. has been known to be the greatest nation in the
world, but now, other nations mock us and challenge our place on the world’s
scene. China, Russia, and even Iran threatens us constantly. This once great
nation is now being looked at with scorn, which takes place before a nation
falls. (Deuteronomy 8:20)
He takes away reason from leaders and makes them wander.
The U.S. no longer seems to have any direction. The Democrats
and Republicans, liberals and conservatives, are now in a place where there is
no unity and they remain divided. A house divided cannot stand and America can
expect to crumble further into insanity because of its lack of unity.
He makes them stagger like drunkards.
A nation that forgets God gets drunk off its own pride. The Bible
says that pride comes before the fall and the U.S. is full of pride when it
refuses to humble itself before the One who made it great.
Job’s words can be said to be prophetic for the times in
which we now live. Unlike Job who was blameless in all his ways, the U.S.
cannot say that same and will suffer greatly because of it. Something to ponder…
QUESTION OF THE DAY – (04JUN19) Is there a time when people
need to be quiet? Yes! Zophar was another friend of Job who was of the belief
that Job had brought his troubles on himself. Job found himself telling his
friends that their wisdom would be achieved through their silence because they had
no profound revelations that they were giving to him that he did not already
know. Their words, although true for some, where not appropriate for his
situation. Silence, in their case, would have been golden.
There are times when the best thing a person can do is to
remain quiet to avoid speaking out of ignorance. This is often true with those
who want to be theologians on social media, but often show their ignorance
through their posts. We would be wise to know when to speak and when to reframe
from speaking. Job’s friends thought that they were wise, but in today’s time,
he would have more less referred to them as educated idiots or would classify
them as putting their foot in their mouths. Yes, we do not want to be like Job’s
friends when a person is struggling and need our help. The last thing that a
hurt person needs is for those close to them to beat them while they’re down.
We must tell the truth about God, but we are to do so in
LOVE. Also, we are to use spiritual discernment to see if what we think concerning
a situation is factual. For example, we know that homosexuality is a sin. With
that being said, when we encounter someone in that lifestyle, we should get to
know them personally because some of these people were turned that way due to a
pastor, priest, or other spiritual leader taking away their innocence. We can
speak to the sin, but when we counsel one-on-one, we must FIRST address the
cause and/or pain that may have led them into that lifestyle to begin with. For
those who may not be proficient in counseling, ask the Lord to lead you as to
what to say and when to say it. The saying, “It’s not what you say but how you
say it,” is true even in evangelism. We must teach on sin, but we must also
learn how to walk people out of it. Something to ponder…
JOB MOMENT – (04JUN19) Job said, “Though He slay me, yet
will I trust him.” Job is at this moment having a little strength arising on
the inside of him to express the faith that he had in God. Although he was
still of the mindset that he wanted to plead his case before the Lord, He still
held on to the hope that the Lord was just and righteous. Just as Job, we must
be able to say that even though things do not go the way that we wish for them
to in life, we still must remain faithful to God. Our service to the Lord
should not be based on what He does for us, but WHO He is to us. He is the I AM
which encompasses all that He is and all that He does. As servants of the Lord,
we are to be dedicated to Him despite our emotions or what blessings we may or
may not receive. God’s love is unconditional and so should our devotion to Him.
Something to ponder…
