What Are You Salivating For?

1 Chronicles 15:7  But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for you work will be rewarded.” (NIV)

Ivan Pavlov was a Russian scientist in the 18' - 1900's who was known for his work in physiology, which is the study of how living things function. His studies often involved experimenting on animals such as dogs. During one of his studies, he noticed that prior to the dogs receiving their food, they would start salivating. He became curious and wondered why this was when there was no food in their sight. After much observation, he noticed that when his assistants would have their lab coats on, the dogs would salivate. So then, he decided to see if another technique would work. He started ringing a bell prior to food being given. The dogs responded in the same manner and even when they didn't see the actual food, they began to salivate.

We can learn a lot from animals. What are you salivating for? Do you have a dream that God has given you and it hasn't come to fruition yet? Does the thought of it just make you have butterflies inside that are waiting to come out? Is it within your reach, but you haven't been able to totally pursue it? Don't wait till you see it! Start salivating before you get it! This is called FAITH! The Bible says, "Faith is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things NOT SEEN." Hebrews 11:1. You don't have to see it yet. You don't have to feel it yet. It doesn't mean that it's not in God's plan. Ask God to help you with the things you are salivating for. Pray! Work on it! Pursue it! God will open doors.
