Seasons Change...Go With It!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. (NIV)

God has designed the world in such a way that we have four seasons to a year. Regardless of how much we desire for one to stick around, eventually, it's going to follow what God has designed. Some people prefer spring because that's when everything starts to bloom, and the weather starts getting warmer. Some prefer summer because they like to go on vacations, or tan out in the sun. Others prefer fall and see it as a chance to cool down from the summer's heat, and they love autumn's colors as the leaves begin to fall. And then, there's winter, dependent upon where you live, snow is inevitable and it reminds you of holiday cheer to be spent with family and friends. We all have seasons in life.

Maybe you were in a season that was very good for a while, but then, God let you know that your season for doing something, being around someone, working a certain job, or living in a certain place is up. What do you do? You can only Go With It! Don't try to hang on to something or someone when that time has expired. Fear, will keep you in a bubble while your season is still changing. So let go, move forward, and allow God to be in control of the season that you're in.

When you try to hang on to a season that's over, you will find yourself being cold, while trying to wear summer attire. What that means is that you will find yourself struggling against the elements, or in other words, you will be working outside of the will of God. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV) God told this to Israel when they were about to go through difficult times due to their disobedience. God has ordained His plans for our lives, but it is up to us to be obedient in following them.

God knows the end from the beginning. Therefore, because He knows what our expected outcome will be, we have to trust Him and learn to let go when He tells us. Whatever God has promised in your life, He will do. Wherever He tells you to go, you must follow. Whatever He tells you to say, you must say it. And whenever He lets you know that your season is up, grab the appropriate attire (The Word of God) and move forward. Isaiah 46:10-11 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey;from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about;what I have planned, that I will do.(NIV)
