Read the Bible in a Year (11SEP19)

Wednesday Special Broadcast (press play below)
"Speak LIFE to Your Valley of Dry Bones"

DAILY REMINDER – Today, September 11’s Bible reading is Ezekiel 37-39.

NEXT DAY REMINDER – Tomorrow, September 12’s Bible reading is Ezekiel 40-42. May God bless you with the reading of His WORD.

EZEKIEL MOMENT – (11SEP19) The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. Then he asked me, ‘Son of man, can these bones become living people again?’ ‘O Sovereign Lord,’ I replied, ‘you alone know the answer to that’” (Ezekiel 37:1-3). Israel found themselves feeling downcast without hope because of their dire situation. They did not see how they would ever recover from it. All that they had ever known had been stripped from them. They were no longer in a land of milk and honey but were in captivity amongst a people who were strange to them. They did not know their customs. They did not understand their language. Nothing about their circumstances was familiar, and they greatly discouraged. Nevertheless, God had a Word of hope for their situation. He gave Ezekiel a vision where he was in a valley of dry bones. There was no life present in the valley apart from Ezekiel. The Lord asked the prophet if the bones could live, but Ezekiel did not know. The Lord had Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones and the bones took form, grew flesh and skin, and they became a mighty army once breath was put into their bodies. This was a sign to Israel that the Lord was going to restore their dead situation, and they would once again live and not die.

You may be experiencing a season of dryness in your life. You may feel as if you are in a valley of dry bones where everything around you seems dead. You may be holding on to faith, praying for a situation, believing God for a breakthrough but seeing no change. The devil may be telling you that it’s okay to give up because after all, God has not fulfilled His promises in your life. Well, that is not and will never be true. The Lord never makes promises and not fulfill them. The Bible says: “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers 23:19). Whatever promises that the Lord has made in your life concerning your situation, you can count on Him bringing it to fulfillment. His reputation is on the line and His name will never be dishonored. He swears by Himself because there is no one higher with whom He can swear by. The Bible says: My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. ‘And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine… It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it’” (Isaiah 53:8,11). The Lord’s Word will never return to Him void and His promises will always be fulfilled. Speak life into whatever situation you’re facing that seems dead. If it’s your healthspeak life. If it’s your marriagespeak life. If it’s your financesspeak life. No matter what you are facing and how bleak it looks, speak LIFE into that situation and wait on God to come through for you. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Something to ponder….

QUESTION OF THE DAY - (11SEP19) “’Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Belonging to Joseph (that is, to Ephraim) and all the Israelites associated with him.’ Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand” (Ezekiel 37:16-17).  The Lord had Ezekiel to use these sticks to show Israel where they had once been a divided kingdom, they were going to be united as one under one King who would rule them for all eternity. Jesus, who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, will reign over all the nations. He is the only King we will ever need and one day, He will come back to get His children where we will be with Him forevermore. Are you ready? Are you excited? Do you look forward to the King putting an end to evil in all of its forms? What a glorious day that will be. Something to ponder….

EZEKIEL MOMENT – (11SEP19) After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land” (Ezekiel 38:8-9). The Lord gave Ezekiel a prophecy of a future war that will be coming to Israel. This war has yet to take place but is coming before the end of days. Many Bible scholars believe that this war will take place during the Great Tribulation. It will happen during a time when Israel will be at peace with its neighbors and living prosperously. There are several nations that will join forces against Israel in the Gog and Magog war. The Lord will bring them together to do so. These nations will be led by Gog, which is the title of the leader, but not the actual name. The nations that will come against Israel are:

Nations

Russia (Magog)
Iran (Persia)
Former Soviet Union States (Meshek and Tubal)
Eastern Europe (Gomer)
Turkey (Togarmiah)
Sudan (Cush)
Libya (Put)

These nations will not have the end that they will be expecting because the Lord himself is going to come up against them. They will begin to fight one another and there will be a mighty earthquake. All of them will die in the war and it will take Israel seven months to bury all of their bodies. The Lord will call the birds and wild animals to feast on their carcasses. Israel will plunder all of their weapons and use it for their fuel. Then the nations will know that He is God.

The Lord does not like when the enemy comes up against His people. The enemy is doing all he can to wear down the saints. The Bible says: “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings” (1 Peter 5:8). We must always be aware of the enemy’s devices because he tries to do all he can to cause us misery and grief. He does not want us to be happy nor does he like when we serve the Lord wholeheartedly. He throws things our way to try to get us off course, but we can be victorious in Jesus. We do not have to allow the devil to get us down nor take us out. We have the whole armor of Christ within us so that we will not lose the battle. In the end, we will win as long as we remain steadfast in Jesus. Something to ponder….
