WILLIE LYNCH SERIES (Intro)
Exodus 9:1 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, "This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'Let my people go, so that they may worship me." (NIV)
African Americans endured slavery for several hundred years
and even though they have been free for almost 150 years, many are still
entrapped by enslavement of the mind. They do not understand that a person can
be a slave in more ways than chains, ropes, and whips. One can be enslaved
merely through thought process alone. There’s a famous quote that has been “attributed”
to the famous abolitionist, Harriett Tubman as saying, “I freed a thousand
slaves. I could have freed a thousand more if I could have convinced them that
they were slaves.” Historians have debated rather this is an authentic quote
from Ms. Tubman or not, but regardless of its origin, the statement is true in
nature. Many people don’t know that they are enslaved to a system such as what
was handed down to them over the centuries until they are willing to
acknowledge that fact that they are. Only then can they truly understand what
freedom really means.
Starting
Monday, we will be coming from a historical and Biblical perspective into the
Willie Lynch letter that was a delivered as a detailed speech in Jamestown,
Virginia on the banks of the James River in 1712. What most schools and
churches fail to teach will be taught here, so that you can be FREE in your
mind and allow God to be the only Master of your life. No Republican,
Democratic, or Independent party can grant you unlimited freedom and justice as
can be done only through Jesus Christ our Lord alone. Join us MONDAY for this
new series in order to educate yourself.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge....(NIV)
