Are You Ready for Jesus' return?

Mathew 24: 36-44  “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.  “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

 

                Time is winding down. Jesus is soon to appear! The signs are being seen all over the planet. Wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, murder, lack of love, self-pleasure, lack of regard for God or His laws, greed, envy, and the list goes on. Many of us are living our daily lives as if we have all the time in the world. The world has said to get rid of God. The government has said that God is no longer needed in our schools, homes, and legal system. Satan is luring both young and old into his web of deception and lies. He is mixing truth with error, fiction with non-fiction, demonic with spiritual, and many within the house of God are in oblivion to what is actually taking place.

            We participate in things that are unholy such as clubs, premarital or extra-marital sex, profanity, and greed. You often times can’t tell the difference between those who profess God and those who don’t. It used to be a day that to say you were a Christian meant something. However, in today’s time, many look at it as a joke and have a “whatever” mentality. We try to be like the world in our dress and behavior. We imitate what we see in song and in language but is this the type of people that God is really wanting His people to be.

Revelation 3:15-16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (NIV)

            God doesn’t want His people to straddle the fence. God wants us to make a decision either for or against Him. But we can’t have it both ways. We can’t say that we are of God and yet do the things of the world. We can’t claim that we are a witness for Him and yet, there is nothing that distinguishes us from the rest of the world that is lost. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. We were chosen by God to represent Him and be a light unto the world. How is it that we are not ready to be that light? If God was to come back today, would we be ready?

            There is not a lot of talk about the coming of Christ and how we need to prepare ourselves for His soon return. However, I am here to tell you that He is coming back and we need to be ready. No one knows the day or the hour, but God has given us sure signs in His word for things to look out for so that we will be ready. Yes, we can live life down here to the fullest until He does come back, but we need to warn souls who we know are destined for hell that they still have time to turn their future around. There is still TIME!!!

            We see on the mainstream media that there are souls in need of saving. People have literally sold their souls to the devil for fame and fortune. How can we stand by and not sound the alarm. If you have a child, would you stand by and watch that child cross into a busy highway without doing something to save his/her from harm? Of course not! However, this is what many of us are doing on a DAILY basis because we are sitting by idle and not getting the message out that Jesus is going to return. It’s as if we only care that we make it and every other person has to go for him/herself. This is not the attitude that we should have. We must spread the word. We must sound the alarm. We must warn others.

            People are literally dying in their sins. We are contributing to it in some cases whenever we purchase demonic music from Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Kate Perry and the likes. These people openly let you know that they have given their souls over the enemy and yet, we are supporting and in some cases promoting their sins. Many have made it known that they are in the organization such as the Illuminati, and yet we have allowed even our children to wear demonic symbolisms for which it stands. Music videos, violent Wii games, and some television programming are taking your family further and further away from Christ. It is like we are sheep that once had a good shepherd, but are gladly going to the slaughter. What is wrong?

            Why are we not spreading the news? Is it that we are too sleepy ourselves that we are in no condition to warn others? Is it that when others look at us, they see the “real” deal and don’t want to imitate us? Is it that we have set such a bad example that we are scared of what others may say because of our own hypocrisy? Could it be that we are not ready ourselves for Jesus’ return and therefore, don’t know how to warn others?

            This is serious! This is not a joke! The devil is broadcasting live on every station that he can get his hands on. He is ready to take us all out by any means necessary. We have to stay guarded and girded up. We have to be ready for preemptive strikes. We must take on the full measure of God’s word. The enemy isn’t playing with us. He is striking and he is coming hard. He has planned all kinds of things to keep us distracted from being able to fully witness to souls that are loss. We must wake up! The time is almost here.

            We have to stop going into enemy camp without being prepared. We must try to save as many souls as we possibly can. Yes, it is okay to have fun, but while we are doing that, we must not lose sight of what God has for us and those who are willing to accept Him. What is you were the one person who was able to keep a soul out of hell? Would you be willing to try? Would you be willing to help save someone who has committed themselves to being on the devil’s side? Would you be sold-out to taking souls from the devil so that Jesus can write their names in the Book of Life? Would you? Heaven rejoices for even 1 soul that is saved. You can make a difference in someone’s life. You can help them to get eternal life.

            It is true that we don’t know the day or hour that Jesus is returning, but we must make a decision. We must make a choice! We must either stand for or against, but it cannot be both ways. We must stand boldly and say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” I don’t know about you, but I want to save as many souls as I can for the Kingdom.
