SATURDAY
PRAYER (06JUN20) – Dear Heavenly Father, we humbly come before you this
day to say Thank You for all that you have done for us. We are so undeserving
of your goodness, but you continue to show us your grace and mercy every day. We
cannot make it through the day without you, and we want to honor you by giving you
the recognition that you deserve.
Lord, we ask
that you will forgive us for all the sins that we have committed against you
and others. We are a wicked nation that has committed great and terrible sins in
your eyes. You have blessed us and yet, we have shown disdain for your laws and
ordinances throughout this nation and even in our houses of worship. Please
help us to be the church that you have called for us to be, and please help us
to set the example before others that they might be saved.
We ask that
we as the body of Christ will not be caught up in division, but we will be
ambassadors of unity, grace, peace, and mercy just as you have shown us. We ask
that you will help us to love the unlovable. We ask that you will help us to
show mercy to the undeserving. We pray that you will help us to give grace to
the undesirable. We ask that you will give us the humility to do unto others
just as you did these very things for us. We ask that you will help us to not
be divided according to racial lines, but we will see that we are to represent
you for you died for the whole world and not just one race of people.
We ask that
you will help us to be kingdom-minded and not think according to the world’s
standards. Please give justice where due, but even show mercy to those with
whom most would not show mercy to. We killed your son and yet, He said: “Forgive
them for they know not what they do.” Please help us to have this type of love
even when others do us wrong even unto death. You said that vengeance is yours,
so please help us to not have vengeful hearts, but hearts that are healed and can
be agents of healing in those around us. Please help us to be agents of peace
and not war; love and not hate; joy and not sadness; faith and not fear.
Lord, we
pray for families, loved ones, coworkers, and neighbors to be saved. We pray
for the peace of this nation in accordance with your will. We pray that our
leaders will perform their office as they were sworn in to do and lead this
country effectively. Please be with our President, Vice, and their families. We
ask for your protection over them and to give them wisdom that only you can do.
We have so much more that we could ask, but we pray that you will be with the
families of everyone who lost loved ones in the recent days, weeks, and months.
Please help their hearts to know that you are near and all they have to do is
turn to you. We pray for all of these things in your Son’s name, Yeshua
Hamashiach. Amen.
